The Ark-La-Tex Mardi Gras Museum in Bossier City was formed to give Northwest Louisiana a regional museum that showcases the famed celebration that has long been equated with the Bayou State.
The facility bills itself as having the largest collection of Mardi Gras royalty costumes in the Northern hemisphere and is home to the largest indoor mural in North Louisiana.
Shreveport-Bossier City celebrates Mardi Gras in a myriad of ways. Numerous parades and festivals provide an estimated $30 million economic impact to the area annually.
